The Law Office of Lance Turnbow is devoted to aggressively defending criminal charges in South Central Texas. I don’t do divorces, wills, or real estate transactions. I spend all day, every day defending people accused of crimes. I handle all criminal matters, everything from Class C misdemeanors all the way up to First Degree felonies. I have built a very successful criminal defense practice based on three basic principles.
EXPERIENCE
If you’ve been charged with a crime you owe it to yourself to discuss your case with someone that can answer your questions. I’ve defended hundreds of criminal cases from start to finish. This has given me the ability to know what to expect from judges and prosecutors. When you speak with me about your case I can tell you which prosecutor will have it, which judge will preside over it, and their tendencies. Each county handles criminal cases differently. I’ve handled cases throughout South Central Texas and can tell you what to expect in each one.
LOYALTY TO MY CLIENTS
I’ve always been a criminal defense attorney. Many criminal attorneys spent most of their careers as prosecutors and then switched to defense work once they lost their job or lost an election. These people still think like prosecutors, not defense attorneys. I have no allegiances to any county offices because I have never worked for them.
ACCESSIBILITY
I pride myself on being available to my clients. Unlike many attorneys, I will call you back. I will respond to your emails. Many people are surprised that I give my clients my cell phone number. I want my clients to know I am available when they need me. An attorney you can’t communicate with will not be very helpful. I also try to keep my practice small enough that I can give everyone the time they need. Unlike many attorneys I’m not on numerous court-appointment lists. All of my clients are people who have retained me.
